Mekael Mian
Mekael Mian ‘25 has committed to playing basketball at Western University in Ontario. Standing at 6’7”, Mian started playing as a small forward for the Caxys during the 2024–25 season. His height and versatility made him a key contributor to the team’s excellent performance. Mian’s commitment to WU reflects his dedication both on and off the court. “This is just the beginning,” Mian said. “I’m grateful for everyone who believed in me.” He joined a competitive Mustangs program in the Ontario University Athletics Conference, where he is expected to make an immediate mark.
Kate Delia
After breaking many LFA track and field records, including the 800- 400- and 200- meter dash, Kate Delia ‘25 will be running at Washington University in St. Louis for the next four years. In her last race at LFA, Delia, along with three of her teammates, broke the 4×400 school record, which she described as “the highlight of my whole time on LFA track.” Delia has put in an immense amount of work ever since she put the spikes on for the first time at LFA. She’s worked incredibly hard since 7th grade and is looking forward to the collegiate athlete experience, saying, “I’m honestly excited for everything. I’m so grateful to have this opportunity to run in college, it’s something I’ve always wanted to do.”
Paulius Karvelis
Paulius Karvelis ‘25 has committed to play basketball at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Now at 6’6”, Karvelis has played as a shooting guard, small forward and power forward for the Caxys during the 2024–25 season. His adaptability and basketball intelligence made him a valuable asset to the team. Off the court, Karvelis has excelled academically, making him a natural fit for MIT’s rigorous standards. He now joins one of the top Division III programs in the country, where he will continue to grow as both a student and athlete.
Audrey Danz
Audrey Danz ‘25 is committed to Rhodes College for Division-III field hockey. Danz has been a four year player on LFA’s Varsity Field Hockey team and was captain for her junior and senior seasons. Danz’s favorite part of her senior season was the Field Hockey tournament the team attended in Dexter, Michigan. While playing field hockey in college was not initially on Danz’s radar, after discovering Rhodes’ team and visiting the campus, it was a no-brainer that she would love to play there. Danz is already familiar with the girls on the team and “is super excited to be surrounded with great people and a great community for [her] college athlete experience.”
Lucia Kirmser
Lacrosse legend Lucia Kirmser ‘25 has committed to playing Division III at Muhlenberg College. Kirmser had a fabulous senior season at LFA scoring nine goals in her last ever high school game despite it being cut short. Kirmser shared that she was motivated to play at the collegiate level her whole life following in her father’s footsteps, who played at Duke. Already knowing the team and having bonded with them, Kirmser is “looking forward to [her] upcoming college lacrosse experience at Muhlenberg and can’t wait to see what the future will hold.”
Bela Bock
LFA senior Bela Bock ‘25 has committed to Stonehill College to compete in Division I women’s golf. Known for her consistency and calm presence, Bock played a key role in the Caxys’ golf program and excelled in regional tournaments. Her coach, Mike Hall, has expressed nothing but great things for her. She is thrilled to take the next step in her golf and academic journey: “I’m excited to grow on and off the course at Stonehill.” The Skyhawks gain a focused and steady competitor as they continue to develop their Division I program.
