Maya Tafolla, Editor-In-Chief
Maya Tafolla of Chicago, Illinois, is an editor-in-chief for The Spectator. She boards in Macintosh Cottage where she serves as a proctor. Maya enjoys baking, running cross country and spending time with her three little siblings and pet bird at home. Maya spent the summer at the School of the New York Times, honing her skills in writing feature and political stories. She said the most interesting story she has written for The Spectator was on the deportation of Venezuelan immigrants in March of 2025. Maya is excited for senior year traditions, specifically the senior celebration night after the last day of school.
